Experienced Secondary Learning Support Assistants (LSAs)
Location: Twickenham, Richmond upon Thames
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: £23,500 – £27,000 (FTE) depending on experience
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only (39 weeks)
About the role:
We are seeking dedicated and skilled Learning Support Assistants to join our inclusive and high-performing secondary school in Twickenham. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with students who require additional support to thrive—academically, socially, and emotionally.
You will be supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4, both in class and through small-group interventions, helping to remove barriers to learning and raise achievement.
Key responsibilities:

Support students with SEND, SEMH, and EAL needs in lessons across the curriculum

Provide 1:1 or small group support where required, in and out of the classroom

Collaborate with teaching staff and SENCO to implement support plans and personalised strategies
-
Help maintain a calm and inclusive learning environment

Record progress and contribute to regular review meetings
-
Promote student independence, confidence, and wellbeing
Ideal candidate profile:
-
Proven experience supporting students in a secondary school setting
-
A strong understanding of special educational needs and the strategies that support them
-
Patient, calm, and adaptable, with excellent communication skills
-
Confident working with a range of students, including those with autism, ADHD, or social/emotional needs

Committed to safeguarding, equality, and student progress

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
