Learning Support Assistant – Portsmouth
£13.75 per hour | Term-Time Only | Part-Time or Full-Time

Teaching Personnel is looking for enthusiastic and supportive Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join friendly and inclusive schools across Portsmouth. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone passionate about helping young people thrive in their education.

About the Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 or small-group support to pupils to aid their learning and progress.

  • Work closely with class teachers to maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN) to engage confidently with the curriculum.

  • Encourage student independence, resilience, and participation.

  • Assist with general classroom duties and ensure the wellbeing of all pupils.

What We’re Looking For

  • Caring, motivated, and patient individuals.

  • Experience working with children is beneficial but not essential.

  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.

  • Reliability, professionalism, and a positive attitude.

  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
