About the Role:
We are seeking a caring and motivated Learning Support Assistant to join an inclusive SEN primary school in the Portsmouth area. You will work closely with pupils who have a range of additional needs, providing individualised support to help them engage confidently in their learning.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Providing 1:1 or small-group support to children with a variety of SEN needs

• Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging, accessible learning activities

• Supporting pupils with communication, emotional regulation and social development

• Helping to create a positive, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment

• Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and other support staff

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working with children (SEN experience is an advantage but not essential)

• A patient, compassionate and proactive approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• A genuine passion for supporting young learners

• Flexibility with working hours

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
