Join a Supportive School Community in Poole – Full-Time Learning Support Assistant Wanted from September 2025

A forward-thinking secondary school in Poole is looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team full-time from September 2025.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Supporting students in the classroom, helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

  • Providing 1:1 support for students with additional needs, building strong, trusting relationships.

  • Working closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and pastoral staff to ensure every student receives the guidance they need to succeed.

  • Encouraging student confidence, independence, and engagement across a range of subjects and activities.

  • Helping to adapt learning materials and activities to suit individual needs.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A calm, patient and nurturing presence—someone students can rely on.

  • Previous experience working with young people, ideally in a secondary school or similar setting.

  • A genuine interest in supporting learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

  • Flexibility and the ability to adapt to a dynamic school environment.

  • Excellent communication skills and a strong team ethos.
