Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a caring and community-focused Primary School in Newbury that is seeking an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support pupils across Early Years and Key Stages 1 and 2. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and is keen to contribute to their academic and personal development.

Main Duties:

• Supporting children in the classroom, both individually and in small groups

• Assisting pupils with additional needs, including those with EHCPs

• Promoting independence, resilience and a positive approach to learning

• Working alongside class teachers to help plan and deliver engaging learning activities

• Helping with behaviour support and emotional regulation strategies when needed

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Be passionate about working with children in a primary school environment

• Have some experience supporting children, whether in a school, childcare or youth setting

• Be calm, consistent and able to build trusting relationships with pupils

• Have strong communication and teamwork skills

• Hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS on the Update Service
