Primary Learning Support Assistant – Newbury
Location: Newbury, West Berkshire
Salary: Starting from £90 per day
Contract Type: Full-time, Term Time Only

Nurture, Support and Encourage – Become a Learning Support Assistant in Newbury
Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a caring and community-focused Primary School in Newbury that is seeking an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support pupils across Early Years and Key Stages 1 and 2. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and is keen to contribute to their academic and personal development.
Main Duties:
-
Supporting children in the classroom, both individually and in small groups
-
Assisting pupils with additional needs, including those with EHCPs
-
Promoting independence, resilience and a positive approach to learning
-
Working alongside class teachers to help plan and deliver engaging learning activities
-
Helping with behaviour support and emotional regulation strategies when needed
The Ideal Candidate Will:
-
Be passionate about working with children in a primary school environment
-
Have some experience supporting children, whether in a school, childcare or youth setting
-
Be calm, consistent and able to build trusting relationships with pupils
-
Have strong communication and teamwork skills
-
Hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS on the Update Service

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
