Join Our Team as a Learning Support Assistant
Location: Middlesbrough
Contract Type: Full-time, with the potential to become permanent
Start Date: October 2025

Are you driven to make a meaningful difference in students’ lives? Do you thrive in a caring and inclusive educational setting? Teaching Personnel is seeking a committed Learning Support Assistant to join one of our partner schools in Middlesbrough this October.


What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Student Support: Work closely with pupils who have a range of learning needs, offering tailored one-to-one and small group support.

  • Collaborating with Teachers: Contribute to the development and implementation of individualised learning plans.

  • Fostering Inclusion: Help create a welcoming, inclusive classroom where every student feels supported and empowered.

  • Monitoring Progress: Track student development, provide feedback, and celebrate achievements.

  • Building Confidence: Encourage students to take ownership of their learning and grow in independence.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: Prior experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential—your enthusiasm and willingness to learn are just as important.

  • Skills: Strong communication, patience, and a caring, supportive attitude. A background in working with special educational needs (SEN) is a plus.

  • Adaptability: Able to respond to the diverse and changing needs of students and the classroom.

  • Passion: A genuine desire to support children’s learning and development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
