Job description

Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive Primary School based in Macclesfield from September 2025. This is a great opportunity for an aspiring teacher seeking further experience within a mainstream school or an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a new and exciting role.

About the role:

  • Start-date: 1st September
  • Ongoing/long-term
  • Opportunity to earn £90- £110 per day (dependent on experience)

This role involves supporting pupils both on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their personal learning goals. You will work closely with teachers and the SENCO to assist in implementing and monitoring Individual Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring tailored support that meets the diverse needs of our learners.

  • Experience working with children in educational or support settings
  • Ability to adapt to individual learning needs and styles
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for supporting children’s learning
  • Commitment to inclusion and positive behaviour management

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
