We are currently seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming and supportive team at a specialist SEN primary school in Northwich, with the role available for an immediate start.
About the role:
The school provides a nurturing and inclusive environment for pupils with a range of complex needs, including autism, communication difficulties, and sensory or emotional challenges. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners who require tailored support to thrive.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and other professionals to provide personalised learning and care. Your responsibilities will include supporting pupils in the classroom, delivering small-group or 1:1 intervention, assisting with personal care where required, and helping to create a calm, structured, and positive learning environment.
What we’re looking for:
Must have experience working with children with SEN (particularly ASD, sensory, or communication needs)
- Demonstrates patience, resilience, and a nurturing approach
- Communicates effectively with pupils, staff, and families
- Understands the importance of safeguarding and inclusive practice
- Holds relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) – desirable but not essential
