We are seeking a compassionate and resilient Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist learning environment supporting students aged 11 to 16. This is a full-time role with an immediate start, offering secondary-age opportunities within a setting that is calm, structured and deeply committed to helping every young person succeed.
The provision supports pupils with severe autism and Asperger’s, focusing on personalised learning, emotional regulation and the development of independence and life skills.
Working hours are typically 8.20am to 4pm, with some weekday end times varying.

Your Role

Provide one-to-one and small group support across the school day
-
Support students with severe autism and Asperger’s to access learning

Encourage communication, independence and positive behaviour

Help maintain a calm, safe and structured environment

Work closely with teachers and specialist staff
What We’re Looking For

Minimum 6 months of childcare experience, particularly supporting children with SEN
-
Patient, calm and adaptable approach
-
Confidence supporting emotional and behavioural needs
-
Driving licence and access to a vehicle due to the school’s location

Commitment to full-time work and safeguarding

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
