Teaching Personnel are currently looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a one-to-one basis with a child in a Key Stage 3 class at an outstanding secondary school in the London borough of Kensington & Chelsea.
START DATE: September 2024
With over a thousand pupils on roll, the school have reached out to us to support them with their vast needs for experienced and reliable SEN support staff. The school enjoy a mix of culturally diverse students drawn from one of London’s most ethnically vibrant boroughs and actively encourage candidates of all backgrounds to join their team.
The role itself will entail working with a child who has mild autism and communication issues, who will always need support around the school grounds. This is a full-time position with the possibility of moving into a permanent contract should the successful candidate reach the required standard of performance.
This is a great opportunity for graduates, former teaching assistants or youth workers looking for more responsibility and experience in supporting students. Any cover supervisors or graduates with any relevant or related work experience are encouraged to apply for immediate consideration.
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience working with children and young people
- Be passionate about working with children
- Be patient, caring and engaging
- Be enthusiastic about education
- Be supportive and helpful in and around the classroom
- Be confident with Maths, Science and English to GCSE level
- Hold or be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS check (Child Workforce only)
