SEN PE Teacher – Secondary Schools (Havant)

Location: Havant, Hampshire
Position: Full-Time
Salary: £32,916 – £51,048 per annum (paid to scale)
Start Date: ASAP

Teaching Personnel are working closely with secondary schools in the Havant area to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN PE Teacher for a full-time position, starting as soon as possible.

The Role:

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive Physical Education lessons to secondary-aged pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet a range of additional needs, ensuring all pupils can access and enjoy PE

  • Support pupils’ physical development, confidence, teamwork, and wellbeing

  • Work collaboratively with SEN staff, teaching assistants, and wider school teams

  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Experience teaching PE at secondary level (SEN experience desirable but not essential)

  • A strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies

  • Excellent behaviour management and communication skills

  • A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs

Safeguarding Requirements:

  • An Enhanced Child Only DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Teaching Personnel
