A Head Teacher from a successful Alternative Provision in the Cockerham area, between Garstang and Lancaster, has approached Teaching Personnel to recruit a hard working, empathetic, resilient and energetic Learning Support Assistant who ideally has experience working with pupils with SEMH Difficulties. The candidate in question will ideally be Team Teach trained or willing to undertake our Team Teach training and be confident when working with pupils who are often challenging in their behaviours.
The School is smaller than average and caters for KS3/4 pupils with SEMH Difficulties, ASC, ADHD, ODD and Challenging Behaviours. The School are looking for a full time member of staff to start after the Feb half term and the role will likely continue until summer.
The candidate must be resilient, confident and happy to work on a 1:1 or small group basis with pupils who are often disengaged in education.
You will be expected to occasionally provide small group catch up sessions for pupils who are struggling academically.
The successful candidate will benefit from:
- Negotiable pay rates GBP57 - 67 per day
- Long term position available
- Rewarding position supporting pupils with SEMH Difficulties
