Learning Support Assistant – Primary School (Burghfield)
Location: Burghfield, West Berkshire
Salary: From £90 per day
Contract Type: Full-time, Term Time Only
Start Date: September 2025

Looking for a Fulfilling Role Supporting Young Learners in a Rural Primary Setting?

Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working with a warm and inclusive Primary School in the Burghfield area, currently seeking a compassionate and motivated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team. This village school has a strong sense of community and is looking for someone who shares its values of care, patience, and support for every child.

About the Role:

  • Supporting children who require additional help with their learning, both 1:1 and in small groups

  • Helping to deliver tailored support plans for pupils with special educational needs (SEN)

  • Assisting with classroom organisation, resources, and daily routines

  • Encouraging pupils’ emotional development and confidence in the classroom

  • Working closely with class teachers, the SENCO and other professionals to track progress

We're Looking For:

  • Someone who is caring, adaptable and able to build trusting relationships with children

  • Experience working with children, particularly in primary or SEN settings, is an advantage

  • A strong communicator who works well within a team

  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
