Learning Support Assistant – SEN (Part-Time)
Bournemouth | September 2025 Start | Primary & Secondary | Term-Time
Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with special educational needs? An exciting opportunity has opened for a Learning Support Assistant to work across a group of specialist schools and colleges in Bournemouth, supporting students aged 3 to 19.
This is a part-time role starting in September 2025, with the flexibility to begin earlier and the option to work full-time if preferred. Hours are 8:30am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday, during term time.

Your Role as a Learning Support Assistant
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with pupils on a one-to-one or small group basis, providing academic, emotional and behavioural support.
You will help implement individual education plans and play an important role in supporting the communication, interaction and development of each student.
Your presence will offer consistency, encouragement and a calm, positive influence throughout the school day. You will be part of a skilled, compassionate team working in partnership with teachers, therapists and families.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
