Learning Support Assistant

Location: Bishop Auckland
Start Date: January 2026
Job Type: Full-Time (Temp to Perm)
Salary: £90–£100 per day

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to work across secondary schools in Bishop Auckland, supporting students to reach their full potential.


About the Role

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students to enhance learning and engagement

  • Encourage students’ personal development, confidence, and independence

  • Support teachers with behaviour management and classroom routines

  • Help create a positive, inclusive learning environment


Requirements

  • Previous experience working with secondary-aged students (desirable but not essential)

  • Calm, patient, and empathetic approach, particularly in challenging situations

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • A genuine commitment to supporting young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
