Learning Mentor

A vibrant and well performing mainstream secondary school are looking to recruit a learning mentor on a full-time temporary basis from September to help identified pupils reach their full potential academically.

The school is looking for a passionate, patient and dynamic individual who can support a group of pupils aged 11-16 who with mild additional learning needs. The pupils will require extra support with lesson engagement and understanding the current scheme of work which the school will advise you on.

Highlights of the Learning Mentor role:

• Full-time Learning Support Assistant
• Starting September 2021 for 6 months in the first instance
• Earning GBP1300 a month, paid weekly
• Delivering tailored learning activities to a group of identified pupils 
• Working at a supportive and inclusive mainstream secondary school in central Bury, accessible via the M66
• Previous experience with young people in a similar role is very desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
