Are you looking to use your skills and experience in a school environment?
Teaching Personnel are working exclusively with a Special Education Needs School in central Winchester that are currently looking for staff to start in September. The school cater for secondary aged pupils, all of which will have an Education Health Care Plan. The pupils at the school have a variety needs such as:
- Autism (ASC/ASD)
- Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
- Physical Disability (PD)
- Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
- Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD)
- Hearing Impaired (HI)
- Visually Impaired (VI)
- ADHD
- Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
The majority of the current vacancies are for full time long term temporary or permanent positions supporting pupils in small groups or 1:1. The ideal candidate would have previous experience working with similar needs or be passionate about working in this type of school. Candidates that are suited for this type of school tend to have experience in some of the following:
- Youth/Community work experience
- Personal experience looking after someone with SEN
- SEN experience
- Residential support/care worker
- Psychology
- Nursery experience
