Job Title: Teacher – Law
Location: Northampton
Salary: £36,395 - £42,462 per annum (pro-rated for part-time roles)

Are you a passionate Law educator ready to inspire and empower students in a dynamic Further Education environment? We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Law to join our vibrant curriculum team.

Role Overview:
As a Law Teacher, you will deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching and assessment across a diverse student body, including 16-18-year-olds, adults, apprentices, and Higher Education learners. Your role will focus on supporting student progress, welfare, and successful progression to further study, Higher Education, or employment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Law and, where needed, contribute across related curriculum areas.

  • Develop detailed lesson plans, schemes of work, and assessment schedules aligned to student needs.

  • Use innovative pedagogical methods and educational technology to engage and motivate learners.

  • Manage classroom environments effectively, including coordinating support from Teaching Assistants to enhance learning.

  • Provide timely, constructive feedback on student work to promote development and achievement.

  • Monitor and promote high attendance and punctuality, applying interventions as required.

  • Maintain accurate records, including Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and assessment data.

  • Prepare students for internal and external assessments, ensuring compliance with awarding body regulations.

  • Participate in internal and external quality assurance processes.

  • Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to enrich the student learning experience.

  • Perform associated administrative duties such as references, UCAS statements, and examination invigilation.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience teaching Law or related subjects in a Further Education or similar setting.

  • Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies tailored to diverse learner needs.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • Competence in using digital tools and educational technology to enhance learning.

  • Commitment to student success and continuous professional development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
