Job description

Job Title: English and Maths KS3 Outreach Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, High Easter

Job Type:

Temporary, Part-Time

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Deliver high-quality English and Maths tutoring to Key Stage 3 students
  • Plan and prepare engaging and interactive lessons tailored to individual student needs
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with school staff and parents to support student learning
  • Implement outreach programmes to engage students in learning outside of the classroom

Required Qualifications:

A recognised teaching qualification

Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

Proven experience in tutoring or teaching English and Maths at Key Stage 3 level

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the KS3 curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students
  • Effective classroom management techniques

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional certifications in Special Education or related field

Working Conditions:

This role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis, primarily in learners homes or local libraries. Travel to different locations may be required for outreach programmes.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
