Job description

Job Title: English and Maths KS3 SEN Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Loughton

Job Type:

Temporary, expected to work Part-Time hours

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide tailored English and Maths tutoring to Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Develop individualised learning plans to support each student's unique needs and learning style
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other support staff to ensure a holistic approach to student development

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with students with SEN
  • Strong knowledge of the KS3 English and Maths curriculum

Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

At least 2 years of experience in teaching English and Maths to students with SEN

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training or certifications in Special Education or SEN teaching
  • Experience working in a tutoring or mentoring capacity

Working Conditions:

  • Part-Time hours, flexible schedule
  • Work with students in their home or local library
  • Potential travel to student's homes or other educational facilities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
