Are you a qualified Teacher? Do you want to work within a school that provides creative, inspiring experiences and high quality teaching? If so, a secondary school in Hastings are looking to recruit a KS3 - KS4 teacher.
The successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor of Education/ PGCE/ or equivalent teaching degree
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Subject specialism
- Experience teaching secondary pupils
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one
The role includes:
- Being accountable for the attainment and progress of all pupils
- Contributing to the overall intellectual, emotional and social development of pupils
- Keeping up with the National Curriculum and where appropriate, the variety of other curriculum pathways
- Planning, preparing and delivering instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences
- Preparing classroom activities
- Making effective use of assessment information on attainment and progress to set appropriately challenging targets and learning activities
- Maintaining discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school
You would need to show:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Initiative and problem-solving skills
- The ability to manage confrontation and challenging behaviour
- Observant and responsive approach
- Patience, understanding and empathy with pupils and parents
- A sense of humour

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
