KS2 Teaching Assistant - Wythenshawe

Teaching Personnel are working as a recruitment partner with a large 3 form entry Primary School in the South Manchester, Wythenshawe area. The Wythenshawe Primary School is looking for an experienced KS2 teaching assistant to work within one of their year 6 classes for the full academic year. The role is to start ideally after the October half term, however the school are not looking to rush the decision so will be looking to see a few candidates before making their decision.

The role will be a general Teaching Assistant role that will involve supporting the class teacher during lessons. The role also require the candidate to lead small intervention groups of around 4-6 pupils in Reading, Writing and Maths. The groups will differentiate between Lower ability pupils in order to bring them up the expected level in preparation for their SATs. The candidate will also need to be comfortable in leading groups of higher ability pupils in an attempt to challenge them further and build upon their achievements. Another key part of the role will be to provide 1:1 reading support for pupils on a week by week basis.

The Wythenshawe based Primary School graded "good" in their most recent Ofsted Report is a great place for any Teaching Assistant to work in order to build on their skills and move forward in their career. The school has been praised by Ofsted for how the staff conduct themselves and this is shown in the good behaviour throughout the school from all the pupils.
