KS2 Teaching Assistant Needed - Burnley Primary School

Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside a Primary School in Nelson (BB9) who have come to our agency exclusively to source an enthusiastic Primary Practitioner to work alongside small groups of pupils in Y6.

Due to the upcoming SATs, the school are doing everything they can to ensure each child reaches their maximum potential and achieves the best SATs results they can. The Head Teacher is committed to ensuring every child in the class receives the right support for the SATS. The Head is looking for an experienced KS2 Teaching Assistant (Level 2 or above) to work alongside small groups of pupils in Year 6. The Class teacher will plan the sessions for lower and higher attaining pupils and the successful applicant will be working with 4-6 pupils at a time, providing interventions and booster sessions.

This role is full time, 5 days per week until May half-term. If the successful applicant gets on well in school, there may be opportunity to work alongside Year 5 pupils for the remainder of the academic year, and then support the child in the transition to Year 6.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
