KS2 Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistant to join our enthusiastic team and play a key role in helping our children achieve their full potential.

Contract Type: Full-time
Salary: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour

Start Date: September, or ASAP

The Role

As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support children’s learning, development, and wellbeing. This role will involve:

• Supporting pupils in lessons, both in small groups and on a 1:1 basis.
• Assisting the teacher with preparing and delivering engaging learning activities.
• Encouraging children’s independence, confidence, and social skills.
• Supporting children with additional needs to access the curriculum.
• Helping to create a safe, positive, and stimulating learning environment.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Passionate about working with children in the early years of their education.
• Patient, caring, and supportive, with strong communication skills.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team and use initiative when required.
• Enthusiastic, reliable, and committed to making a positive difference.
• Ideally experienced in working with children in an educational setting (though training will be provided for the right candidate).
• Qualified with a minimum of Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
