KS2 Teaching Assistant

Location:
Axminster, Devon
Contract Type:
Permanent/ Temporary (dependent on applicant) - Term time only
Working Pattern:
Full time / Part time (negotiable)
Approx. 13–32.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday during school terms
Start Date:
ASAP or at the beginning of the next term
Role Purpose
To support class teachers in delivering high quality education to pupils in Key Stage 2. This may include:
- Providing in-class support during lessons for both individuals and small groups
- Leading intervention programmes (e.g. reading, numeracy, writing)
- Supporting pupils with additional needs, including those with SEN
- Contributing to assessment, record-keeping and feedback under the direction of the teacher
- Supervising break/lunch times when needed, and assisting on school trips
Person Specification / Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience working with children in KS2 (Year 3-6) preferred
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- An up to date DB (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
