Year 6 Class Teacher - September 2022

This is an opportunity based at a primary school based in Walsall.

The school is currently looking for a full-time class teacher to join their Key Stage 2 team, where you will be based in a Year 6 class, of around 27 pupils. The school and staff are very supportive, with the school being a caring and safe environment, which shapes the school ethos - where they recognise the diverse needs of the community, ensuring all young people from all backgrounds thrive.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a passionate, hardworking fully qualified teacher
  • Have knowledge and understanding of effective behaviour management strategies and the ability to put these into practice
  • Be reliable, committed and interested in working with students and demonstrate the qualities of a good role model
  • Have the ability to deliver well planned and stimulating lessons across the curriculum and ability range
  • Establish a warm, caring, and supportive relationship with the pupils
  • Have effective verbal and written communication
  • Support the use of support staff relevant to the class
  • Contribute to the provision of a safe, secure learning environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
