Job Title: KS2 Class Teacher
Location: Preston
Length of Role: Summer Term (April – July)

Type of Setting: Mainstream Primary School

A respected primary school in Preston is seeking an experienced KS2 Class Teacher to join their team for the summer term. This role focuses on Lower Key Stage 2 and requires a confident practitioner who can quickly establish strong routines, deliver high‑quality teaching and maintain excellent classroom standards.

You will be responsible for planning and teaching engaging lessons that meet the needs of pupils across the attainment range. The school is known for its supportive leadership team, collaborative staff culture and commitment to high expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering well‑planned lessons aligned to the KS2 curriculum
  • Maintaining high standards of classroom management and pupil engagement
  • Using assessment to inform teaching and track pupil progress
  • Creating a positive, inclusive and structured learning environment
  • Working collaboratively with other teachers and phase leaders

About You:

  • Previous experience teaching within KS2 is essential
  • Confident teaching Lower Key Stage 2 in a mainstream setting
  • Strong behaviour management and planning skills
  • Able to adapt quickly to a new school environment
  • This role is not suitable for ECT candidates
