Primary Class Teacher – Leyland

Contract Length: 12 months from Easter 2026
Pay Rate: Main Pay Scale
Setting: Mainstream Primary School

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Class Teacher to join a welcoming and well‑resourced mainstream primary school in Leyland. This is a 12‑month contract starting from Easter 2026, offering an exciting opportunity for a committed teacher to make a meaningful contribution to pupils’ learning and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver and assess high‑quality lessons in line with the Primary National Curriculum
  • Create an engaging, inclusive and supportive classroom environment
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
  • Use effective behaviour management strategies that support positive learning
  • Contribute to the wider school community, including planning and attending school events
  • Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and work collaboratively with the SLT and wider staff team

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching within a primary setting
  • Strong understanding of curriculum expectations and assessment frameworks
  • A proactive, reflective and child‑centred teaching approach
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
