Job description

An Outstanding two-form entry primary school in Oldham is seeking an experienced KS2 teacher to cover a Year 6 class for a full year due to maternity leave.

The Role
You’ll work closely with the linked Year 6 teacher and the Upper KS2 team to plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that support and challenge pupils. Responsibilities include:

  • Differentiating for varying learning needs

  • Marking work and setting future targets

  • Building strong relationships with pupils, parents, and staff

The role begins during a key period, with SATs preparation underway, so Year 6 and SATs experience is highly advantageous. A handover will be provided.

The Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Preferably previous Year 6 experience and strong knowledge of the upper KS2 curriculum

  • Experience with schemes such as Cornerstones, White Rose Maths, and Reading Vipers desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
