Year 4 Teacher

Full-time Year 4 teaching post commencing in November 2021 for a Leyland Primary school.

Due to a member of staff leaving the school this is an open vacancy with the school looking to initially appoint a Year 4 teacher for one term from November 2021 until July 2022. Normally the school would look to recruit a permanent member of staff immediately, however due to the current situation regarding school closures and the uncertainty around job security, the school have decided to recruit on a temporary basis initially, with a view to becoming permanent in the next academic year.

Highlights of this teaching role:

-          Paid on the teachers’ pay scale MPS-UPS

-          Full time post initially until July 2022, with the possibility of extending into the new academic year or becoming permanent member of staff.

-          Highly supportive Head Teacher and Senior Leadership Team

The school is an average sized primary with good facilities and is easily accessible by both car and public transport. Since appointing a new Senior Leadership Team four years ago, the school has made notable improvements and now boasts a positive reputation within the local community. The Head Teacher is popular amongst staff and has been described as ‘approachable’ and ‘fair’, with a genuine interest in the wellbeing and development of staff. The wider team are welcoming, dynamic, and of a very high calibre. Although behaviour across school is generally good and standards are set high, it is paramount that the appointed practitioner is confident in following the school’s well established behaviour policy.

To be successful in this role:

-          A Class Teacher with experience of teaching within Key Stage 2

-          A fully inducted Primary Teacher

-          Hard working, organised and committed to raising standards

-          Able to demonstrate strong behaviour management skills

The Head Teacher is looking to appoint before the February half-term so I must stress the importance of applying as soon as possible.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
