KS2 Intervention Teacher - Notting Hill

Teaching Personnel are partnered with a lovely Church of England School located a short walk from Notting Hill Station that are looking to hire an Intervention Teacher in September to work across their KS2 classes. It will be a flexible non class based position where you will be able to focus essentially on improving the levels of Literacy & Numeracy with pupils.

The Position

The school have a tight community and is a 2 form entry School that we have worked with extensively in the past!

On a day to day basis you will be working with children in small groups and on a 1:1 basis to work on areas of difficulty they have. Reading, Writing, Numeracy all combine under this role. Towards Christmas and into January, being involved with SAT's preparation will take a leading role. Hours will be 8:30-4pm on Monday to Friday and it will be a long term contract until the end of the academic year if successful.

To Be Successful

Candidates with the following are more likely to be shortlisted:

  • PGCE preferred or equivalent Teaching Qualification.
  • Experience with Teaching KS2 students and supporting with SAT's preparation.
  • Bubbly personality and someone who is happy to go the extra mile.
  • Able to work under their own initiative and plan development areas for pupils.
  • Can commit long term until the end of the academic year.
