KS2 Intervention Teacher

A primary school in Durham is seeking to appoint a lively Key Stage 2 Intervention Teacher with knowledge and experience delivering small group intervention.

-       Competitive rates of pay GBP100-GBP140 per day (depending on experience)

-       Academic Year 2020/2021

-       Part-time (2-4 days per week)

-       Support in preparation for Y5 SATs

The aim is to make sure that all Year 6 pupils reach national expectations as well as gifted and talented pupils having the opportunity to excel in the 2021 SATs. The ideal candidate will have experience planning focused lessons for specific individuals or small groups of children. It is essential that you are able to positively identify gaps and weaknesses in order to constantly challenge pupils.

Ideal candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • The ability to be flexible and adaptable daily
  • Pro-active attitude and the ability to work efficiently with the school community
  • Hold an advanced Child Only DBS on the Update Service or willing to apply for one

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting children push their attainment to the next level
  • Being creative and using innovation to enhance the learning experience of all pupils
  • Assessing progress and maintaining discipline
