KS2 Early Career Teacher

The Head Teacher of a primary school in Darwen is looking to appoint a hardworking and enthusiastic Early Career Teacher to teach their Year 3 class from Monday 11th October 2021.

The Head Teacher is looking to provide the necessary support for the newly qualified teacher to complete their induction year, including regular CPD opportunities and a school-based mentor.

The successful candidate will be required to take on the full Class Teacher role, including planning, teaching, and assessing. You will be expected to attend weekly staff meetings and parents’ evenings and contribute to the wider life of the school.

In light of the school closures, there will be a large focus on Nurture alongside behaviour management and SEMH support. There will be an experienced teaching assistant within the class, who in organised and supportive.

The school is Ofsted graded 'GOOD' and is located within close proximety to public transport links and the local motorway. The school is guided by a strong leadership team who hold a shared ambition to provide the very best for every pupil. Staff feel valued and are keen to develop their skills further. The setting is a happy community, where pupils feel safe and are well cared for. Pupils are extremely well mannered, polite and courteous, and take responsibility for caring for and supporting each other.
