Key Stage 3 SEN Teaching Assistant – Full Time | September 2025 Start 

Are you passionate about supporting young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?

We are looking for a committed and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Weymouth, working specifically with Key Stage 3 students.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a nurturing, inclusive environment that prioritises student wellbeing and personalised learning.

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Supporting students with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties

  • Assisting in the delivery of tailored lessons and interventions

  • Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support

  • Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with SEN pupils (school or care-based experience welcomed)

  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach

  • Passion for supporting young people to thrive

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practices

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
