Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive primary school in Great Eccleston for a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed individual who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development in KS2.

The Role

As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
• Work with small groups and on a 1:1 basis to support pupil progress
• Assist with classroom preparation and resource organisation
• Provide targeted support for pupils with additional learning needs
• Promote positive behaviour and a nurturing learning environment

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience working with children (preferably within KS2)
• Is patient, proactive and able to build strong relationships with pupils
• Has a good understanding of the KS2 curriculum
• Is adaptable and able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Holds a relevant qualification (Level 2/3 TA or equivalent – desirable but not essential)
