Nurture Teaching Assistant (Primary School)
Location: Blackburn
Hours: Part Time(Term Time)
We are seeking a caring, resilient and dedicated Nurture Teaching Assistant to join our primary school team in Blackburn on a Part-time basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils who require additional emotional, social and behavioural support to access learning successfully.
The Role
As a Nurture Teaching Assistant, you will:

Work closely with individual pupils and small groups across the primary age range
-
Support children with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs
-
Help pupils develop confidence, emotional regulation and positive relationships
-
Deliver nurture-based interventions in line with the school’s nurture provision
-
Work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCOs and external professionals
-
Promote a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
-
Has experience working with children in a primary or nurture/SEMH setting
-
Demonstrates a calm, patient and empathetic approach
-
Understands attachment, trauma-informed practice and nurture principles (desirable)
-
Has strong communication and teamwork skills
-
Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
