Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant in Skelmersdale

Teaching Personnel have been in contact with a reputable school located in the Outskirts of Skelmersdale. This school is a smaller than average village school and the Headteacher has approached Teaching Personnel to source an INSPIRATIONAL Teaching Assistant to start in school ASAP. Please see further details regarding the below.

Lower KS2 Behaviour Support role. Hours are 8:45-15:15 (30 minute lunch break) - Five days per week.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who has previous experience working alongside children with complex needs and would be well suited to someone who has experience supporting 'hard to reach pupils'.

In order to be considered you must have…

  • Experience working alongside children within the past 12 months.
  • Minimum Level 2+ childcare relate qualification.
  • An open minded and patient attitude with the ability to build positive relationships with children.
  • Have a passion for delivering high quality education for each child.
  • Confident contributing towards assessments.

This is a village school serving a pleasant catchment area, behaviour is exemplary in school and the staff are welcoming and supportive. The school is easily accessible via public transport from surrounding areas such as Wigan, Chorley and Ormskirk. The Headteacher is looking for a practitioner who will share their knowledge in order to develop best practice; the Headteacher has an open door policy and is committed to school improvement. It has also been mentioned that there may be a temp-perm option for this post depending on how well the child engages with the support.

This role is to begin immediately however the school are able to cover this role internally for the next two weeks in order to secure the right candidate for the post.
