Key Stage 2 Teacher

Teaching Personnel are working with a Catholic Primary School in Lewes to appoint a Year 4/5 teacher.

The successful candidate will be teaching a class of 24 with a high percentage of SEN. Behaviour across the school is of a high standard, however good behaviour management skills would be preferrable. The school has recently been graded 'Good' by Ofsted and is looking to employ someone with a good understanding of Catholic ethos and values; a teacher with previous experience working in a faith school would be desirable.

The school is one form entry with a supportive and friendly teaching and support team. Staff and pupils are heavily involved with the local community and parish. Teachers at the school have a pastoral approach to teaching; educating and supporting the children both socially and emotionally, as well as following the UK curriculum.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Excellent organisational skills
• The ability to work independently with full confidence
• A motivated and pro-active approach with a genuine passion for teaching
• An understanding of the Catholic Ethos
• The ability to adapt teaching and learning to different abilities
• Experience teaching children with Special Educational Needs
• Recent experience as a full time class teacher
