A friendly and welcoming primary school in Islington is looking for a mixed year 5/6 class teacher to join their team until the end of the academic year. The school is well connected by public transport and has good car parking facilities.

The school's mission is to challenge educational and social inequality through the power of education so that children of all backgrounds can excel.

This role will require a strong, year 5/6 class teacher with good assessment for learning techniques, who will be able to teach a mixed upper key stage 2 class. You will be provided with weekly PPA time in order to plan and prepare lessons for the class.

The successful candidate will have:

  • UK qualified teacher status,
  • Experience of working as a teacher within the last 10 years,
  • ECTs are welcome to apply for this role,
  • Be able to differentiate content for pupils with SEND,
  • Have good behaviour management,
  • Be able to utilise formative and summative assessment to maximise pupil progress and prepare them for SATs.
