An Exciting Opportunity to Inspire Young Learners
Are you a passionate Science Teacher seeking a rewarding part-time role in a specialist setting? We are currently recruiting a dedicated Key Stage 2 General Science Teacher to join an inclusive and supportive school in Blandford Forum. This is a unique opportunity to teach across the primary phase in a school that caters for pupils with special educational needs (SEN), ranging from ages 5 to 16.

The school provides a nurturing environment for pupils with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.

It offers small class sizes, personalised learning pathways, and a collaborative team ethos. You’ll be supported by specialist staff who understand the importance of meeting individual needs while promoting independence and academic growth.

 

Role Details

  • Part-time position – allowing flexibility and work-life balance

  • Working hours: 8.45am to 3.45pm

  • Delivering engaging general science lessons tailored to learners’ abilities and needs

  • Supporting pupils with varied learning profiles and encouraging curiosity in the world around them

  • Collaborating closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and SEN professionals

 

Salary Information

  • The full-time salary for this role ranges from £31,650 to £43,607 per annum

  • Part-time pay is calculated on a pro-rata basis, ensuring fair and transparent compensation for hours worked

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
