Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant
Job description
This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...
- Have you got level 3 qualifications or higher in Childcare?
- Are you fully familiar with latest EYFS requirements?
- Do you have experience as Room Leader or above?
Teaching Personnel are currently looking for a Room Leader to work at a nursery in Reading. It is an opportunity to join a great team in a lovely working environment. If you are a nice caring person and have energy, imagination and commitment you could well be the one for them.
The nursery have a good local reputation and they work hard to maintain their standards. That means they are a demanding employer, when it comes to staff performance, yet they find that good staff are happier with this. There is regular training given and they support, encourage, and facilitate your continued professional development.
Naturally you will have at least an NVQ 3 or equivalent with a thorough working knowledge of the EYFS and experience as a Room Leader or higher. You may also have QTS or EYPS and if so, they will give you the opportunity to use it. You will need to be a good team manager, leading by example with the quality and skills to motivate your staff to maintain their high standards in a relaxed yet caring atmosphere to avoid personal discord and foster a happy committed team spirit.
They will want you to have a good grasp of the written and spoken English language in order to communicate well with children, parents and staff as well as be able to write adequate observations and reports etc.
However, what's more important is they will be looking for a genuine caring attitude from people with a desire to work with children who enjoy their interaction.
If you would like to apply for this post or like further information please call Holly on 01189 071532 or email holly.smith@teachingpersonnel.com.
