Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Level 2 qualified Teaching Assistant who is seeking work in the Skelmersdale area and is available from as soon as possible.
The Head Teacher of a Catholic primary school in the area is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant who has prior experience in KS1, whether that be as a member of support staff or a Teacher, and who demonstrates an enthusiastic and hard-working attitude. The successful candidate will be based in the school’s Year 2 class. The working hours for the role are: 08:45 – 14:00, Monday to Friday and the Head Teacher is ideally looking for the member of staff to start Tuesday 4th May 2021. The position is planned to continue until July 2021 at least.
The school is graded ‘GOOD’ with ‘OUTSTANDING’ features by Ofsted. Leaders and Governors are very proud of the harmonious school they have created. The school’s ethos is well embedded into all aspects of school life. Pupils enjoy coming to this school; they feel well cared for and safe. Staff, volunteers and pupils all get on well together. Pupils’ behaviour is a strength of this school.
In order for you to be successful in your application, you must have the following:
- A minimum of a Level 2 qualification
- Recent (within the past 12 months) experience of working in a Key Stage 1 classroom environment
- Good knowledge of teaching and learning in Phonics
- Confidence in delivering core-subject interventions
- Excellent work ethic and ability to work as a team
