Year 2 Class Teacher – LA5

Primary School | Full-Time | Permanent
MPS/UPS (Dependent on experience)
Start Date: September 2026 / ASAP

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the LA5 area to recruit a committed and enthusiastic Year 2 Class Teacher.

This role is suitable for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs), with strong support available from the school and Teaching Personnel.


The Role:

  • Full classroom responsibility for a Year 2 class
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum
  • Preparing pupils for end of Key Stage 1 assessments
  • Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, progress and pupil wellbeing
  • Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and colleagues
  • Communicating effectively with parents and carers

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (Year 2 desirable but not essential)
  • Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A positive, proactive and reflective approach to teaching
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
