We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and skilled Specialist SEND Teacher to join our supportive and forward‑thinking primary school in Burnley. About the Role
As our Specialist SEND Teacher, you will:
- Lead on the planning, delivery, and assessment of high‑quality learning for pupils with SEND needs.
- Work closely with the SENCO, teaching assistants, and wider staff team to create personalised learning plans and interventions.
- Use a range of strategies to support pupils with diverse needs, including SEMH, ASD, communication difficulties, and specific learning needs.
- Foster positive relationships with pupils, parents, and professionals to ensure the best outcomes for each child.
- Contribute to a welcoming, inclusive, and child‑centred school culture.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Is an enthusiastic and reflective practitioner with a strong passion for SEND education.
- Holds qualified teacher status (QTS) and has experience working with pupils with additional needs.
- Understands how to adapt teaching to meet a range of learning styles and developmental stages.
- Shows patience, creativity, resilience, and a true commitment to inclusive practice.
- Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively with colleagues and families.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
