Key Stage 1 Teacher- Catholic school- Tameside

Teaching Personnel are delighted to be recruiting for a Key Stage 1 Teacher on behalf of our partner Catholic Primary school. This full time position (starting from January 2019) represents an outstanding opportunity for a Key Stage 1 Teacher to join a reputable school until the end of the academic year initially.

Responsibilities:

  • To teach pupils in line with their educational needs and school policy.
  • To plan and prepare lessons effectively according to the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
  • To assess, record and report pupils' progress and attainment.
  • To maintain good order and discipline amongst the pupils and prioritising their health & safety at all times.

Key aspects of the school:

  • Pupils are polite and courteous and their attitudes are consistently positive.
  • Children's progress in the early years is consistently strong.
  • School located only a short drive away from the surrounding areas of Hyde, Denton and Ashton-under-Lyne. There are also bus links that stop directly outside the school.

As a result of an upcoming gap within the Key Stage 1 provision of our partner Primary school, the Head teacher is seeking to appoint an experienced Key Stage 1 Teacher from January 2019. This position will initially be on a supply basis but has the potential to go permanent dependant upon effectiveness within the position.

Our partner Primary school is a 3-11 mixed comprehensive which currently caters for over 240 pupils. Most of the pupils come from White British backgrounds and the numbers of those eligible for the pupil premium funding and are well below the national average.
