Key Stage 1 Class Teacher - ASAP START

The Governing Body of a smaller than average Primary School located on the Fylde Coast are urgently looking to source a full time Year 2 Class teacher to begin in school on Tuesday 23rd April on a full time basis for the remainder of the academic year. This post has arisen due to an un-expected resignation.

The successful applicant is expected to take on the role of full time class teacher, class sizes are smaller than most schools and the behaviour in school is exemplary. This is a reputable Primary School serving a pleasant catchment area. The Class Teacher will be expected to lead parent's evenings and write termly reports, due to the circumstance, there is the potential of a permanent contract.

In order to be considered, teachers must...

  • Have experience delivering the National Curriculum to children across Key Stage 1.
  • Be an outstanding and inspirational classroom practitioner who can consistently deliver high quality teaching and learning in an engaging way.
  • Have high expectations of pupil's achievements and behaviour.
  • Have knowledge and experience of working alongside children who have Special Educational Needs.
  • Be committed to developing his/her own professional skills.

The pay and working hours:

The pay for this role will be determined by experience. It is expected to fall within the bracket of £100 - £130 per day, based on a 6.5 hour working day. To confirm also, this is a full time role beginning from September 2019.

How to apply:

To apply for this role, you must hold Qualified Teacher Status. You must also be experienced in KS1 and be prepared and committed to raising standards in the classroom. The school will also be looking for a practitioner who is happy to mix with the current staffing team and become 'part of the furniture'.
