Job opportunity for ex-military personnel

I am looking for an extremely strong Teaching Assistant to support a KS3 pupil with behavioural difficulties in Blackburn ASAP.

The role will be on a 1:1 basis and the school have expressed that they require a very strong TA, possibly someone from a a military background, who feels equipped to support a student with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. A military background isn't essential, of course, but you MUST be confident in supporting a pupil who expresses violent language and behaviour. The ideal candidate may have experience supporting vulnerable children or adults in a PRU, prisons / young offenders, residential, psychiatric institutes etc and will encourage the pupil to engage in routine / structure and express positive, respectful behaviour.

As this young persons TA, you will build a rapport and encourage him to re-engage in education, supporting him in various subjects and encouraging positive behaviour / actions.

The working hours will usually be between 8:30 - 3:30, with an earlier finish on Fridays. You will also benefit from a free lunch!

The daily rate will be between £54 - £60 per day.
