The Headteacher and SENCO of a large Primary School in Preston are on the look out for TWO Teaching Assistants to work in school on a full-time basis across KS1 and KS2.
Role 1:
Y1 Intervention teaching assistant – Monday-Friday term time only 8:45-15:15. This role involves working alongside small groups across Key Stage 1 specifically in Year 1 closing gaps through interventions. The interventions will be specifically targeting Reading and Writing. This is a new role in school to begin ASAP and will continue until July 2021 with the likelihood to be extended into the 2021/22 academic year.

This is a new role in school to begin ASAP and will continue until July 2021 with the likelihood to be extended into the 2021/22 academic year.
Essentials:
- Have at least 20 days school-based experience within the last 18 months.
- Hold a Level 2 childcare qualification or equivalent.
- Have high expectations for all pupils.
- Have the confidence and ability to liaise with class teachers and SLT regarding individual children and their progress.
- Have the ability to differentiate activities to suit the needs of individual pupils.
- Be a positive role model for all children.
- Enjoy working as part of a large team within a busy school environment.
Preferred:
- Have experience of working alongside children with EAL.
- Have paid experience within a school.
- Have experience of working alongside children with SEN.
- Have experience within Y1 or Y4.

**Rates of pay are competitive for work of this nature and vary from GBP300-GBP330 per week dependant upon experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
