Intervention Support Worker

A School in Blackpool are seeking an Intervention Support Worker, Teaching Assistant or Teacher to assist in the deliver of their intervention programme. 

The pupils in school are referred from their mainstream school for a six week programme. In this time they are be taught their academic subjects such as english, maths and science as well as emotional wellbeing work / support. This consists of lessons based on the principles of Neuro Linguistic Programming, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Mindfulness. These lessons enable the students to look at their behaviour, how it is impacting themselves and others and how to make positive choices in life. Alongisde this, students also have the opportunity ro engage in teambuilding and outdoor activities to encourage positive relationships.

Your role will involve assisting with targeted sessions to encourage reintegration back into their mainstream school.

You should have strong literacy and numeracy skills and will ideally have experience in supporting children with SEMH. 

You should have the ability to work in small groups and on a 1:1 basis.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
