Intervention Specialist Teaching Assistant
Location: Halewood, Liverpool
Contract: Part time, Temporary (with potential for extension or permanent opportunity)
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £83.85 - £95 per day (pro rata, depending on experience)
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a part time Intervention Specialist to join a nurturing and inclusive primary school in Halewood. This rewarding role involves delivering targeted support to small groups and individual pupils, focusing on literacy and numeracy interventions across KS1 and KS2. This is a part-time role (3-4 days per week) and would suit a qualified TA or an experienced educator with a passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning.

Job Description:
As an Intervention Specialist, your role will focus on delivering planned interventions to support pupils who may be working below age related expectations. You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to identify needs, monitor progress, and adapt your support to maximise impact. Sessions may take place within or outside the classroom, depending on the pupil's needs.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have recent experience delivering interventions in a primary school setting
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the national curriculum (particularly in English and Maths)
- Be confident in adapting resources and teaching strategies to meet individual needs
- Be organised, proactive, and able to use their initiative
- Hold a Level 2 or 3 TA qualification (or equivalent experience)
- Be passionate about helping children reach their full potential
- Hold a DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through Teaching Personnel
